South Korean-born, LA-based artist Ken Gun Min is known for his intricate mixed-media work that explores cross-cultural ideas of masculinity and intimacy. Through his choice of materials – from western oil paints to Korean embroidery techniques – Min challenges conceptions of sexuality, gender and race, especially as it is depicted in Western art history.
