Art Basel: Miami Beach : Widline Cadet

Nazarian / Curcio is thrilled to be returning to Art Basel Miami Beach this year with a solo presentation by Los Angeles-based artist Widline Cadet!Cadet’s interdisciplinary practice explores her lived experience with migration, assimilation, and intergenerational memory, blending portraiture, landscape, and still life. 

Cadet's inclusion in Art Basel Miami Beach follows several years of notable artistic achievements. In 2020–21, she was an artist-in-residence at the Studio Museum, culminating in a solo presentation at MoMA PS1. In 2023, she presented an immersive solo exhibition at Huis Marseille Museum in Amsterdam. In 2024, Nazarian / Curcio presented a solo booth of her work at Frieze Los Angeles. 2025 marks a year of significant institutional exhibitions, including Flow States: La Trienal at El Museo del Barrio, New York; Imagining Black Diasporas: 21st-Century Art and Poetics at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA); To Conjure: New Archives in Recent Photography at the International Center of Photography, New York;and Narratives in Focus at the Pérez Art Museum, Miami; and Flow States at the Liverpool Biennial. Cadet’s work will be featured in the upcoming Made in L.A. Biennial at the Hammer Museum.
